Christmas in April

Christmas in April is a wonderful charity group that performs repairs and clean ups for people who cannot do it for themselves and cannot afford to pay someone to do it. 

They came to my mom's house this weekend and worked some miracles with paint, a couple of chainsaws, and cheerful enthusiasm.  My sisters and I pitched in and worked alongside the kind-hearted volunteers from the Home Depot Crew.  I should mention that this crew was amazing.  I've never seen so many people work so hard for a stranger and ask for nothing in return.  I can only hope that the other three houses that were worked on this weekend by Christmas in April had half as much sheer energy and hope as these people showered upon my family.
