Gaming with Flea

I used to game a whoooole lot more than I do these days. I moved up to a different state and have had issues settling into my new gaming group. You know how you just get used to gaming with people? You know what to expect, sorta. You have a rhythm, a system, an understanding. I just don't have that with this group yet. We don't game often enough for me to get one either.

Anyway, I'm an afficionado of tabletop RPGs and a few computer and console games. I enjoy Shadowrun and miss playing it IRL. I have fallen off the posting wagon over on Shadowland and as such am now suffering an extreme lack of both creative and writing outlets. Mostly I play Anarchy Online and some of the games we have for the nifty XBox Rusty and I got each other for Christmas.

Speaking of, I suck at shooters. The guys here make fun of me because I prefer "girly" platform jumper games. I just don't suck at 'em! I've tried Halo and Halo2 and am below mediocre with both of them. I blame the whole, two joystick situation. I can't control that right one with any real delicacy or skill so my targetting is shittified. If your targetting sucks in a shooter, then what's the everlovin' point of playing? I sneak a session in every now and then, trying to practice when nobody's around to make fun of me.
